I believe the World Firefighter Games are being held in Liverpool in August 2008. Orienteering is on the list of sports being offered, although not actually on the website yet. http://www.wfg08.com/

The World Firefighter Games were held in Sefton Park, Liverpool at the weekend and attracted an international entry. Thanks to MEROC for supplying the map, and WCOC for the planning and electronic equipment. It was good to see orienteering listed as one of the sports for the competition. Many of the competitors had also been to the 2004 Games at Sheffield! Pleasant weather and a wonderful piece of parkland!!
