I'm surprised there's been no thread on this so far.

All 6 areas were challenging, I thought, made doubly so on Tuesday (Pwll Du) and Saturday (Clydach Terrace) for most of us by low cloud, driving heavy rain and a blustery wind. Clydach Terrace would have been a superb finale if it had been sunny
The new normalising scoring system seemed to work well and all the volunteers (even when standing in pouring rain) were so cheerful - thank you all!

Areas that need more work are travel directions (please not just from the event centre) and whatever caused the start time problem on day 5 with people being called up 4 minutes earlier than the time they were sent.

Again though, well done WOA and its helper clubs from outside.

Need to look at the time allowed for road crossings. Pwl Du was not enough. I hads two cars and was 16secs over others on my course with no cars just made it. On day five where time taken was deducted there were people abusing the privalege by stopping to sort out their route choice. The marshall was hurrying them on. This abuse means that others get penalised due to no fault of their own.

How can you tell from the splits whether people were loitering or held up by traffic? especially as no one with any sense would actually rush across a timed out road crossing.

Many thanks to WOA plus BOK and NGOC for putting on a great week. It was very well organised, the only downside being poor car park signage on Day 2. After we mentioned it to the wonderful car park team it was rectified for Day 3. They worked very hard for long hours and then ended the week having to push cars out on Day 6. a big to all the team. An enjoyable week despite having many bad runs between us

best 3 or 4 to count for the chase.

I am happy to hold my hand up and say that I "abused the privilege" re the time-out section.

I don't see this as abuse, simply exploiting the tolerances of the rules. Whilst I would never cheat, I see absolutely no reason not to take advantage of something that is available to everyone. I would certainly have taken umbridge and 'dug my heels in', had a marshal tried to 'chivvy me along'
It is up to the Organiser to put a time limit on this Time-out period, if they so wish.
I actually had a good humoured banter with one of the marshals at the road crossing and was surprised to find that no one else had taken a (2 minute) rest here. I subsequently had the fastest split on the next leg. I had planned to do this well before my start, having read the blurb for the day.
Had I been organising, I certainly would have had a time limit, to discourage such opportunists !

I agree: I obeyed the rules. I actually did not take much longer than 30 secs but did stand at the over-the-road control before punching it while I decided what route to use to my next control.

Given that it takes only a few seconds to cross the road, is there much difference between someone who is planning their next leg whilst waiting to be marshalled across the road when traffic is clear, and someone who crosses immediately,then plans their leg?
I agree that a time limit should be set so the time out is not abused, but at a level consistent with the likely traffic on a particular road.

To get back to the original theme Well done the WOA and all who helped, particularly given the poor weather. Would certainly like to go back to Clydach Terrace on a good day.
