I guess the team has left for Czech Rebuplic already but you wouldn't know anything looking at BOF pages.... where is the preview, where is the interview with the Head Coach asking how his team will shape up & does he think they will gain the medals required????

They're en route right now, Scotia left this morning after raising a few bob for the squad fund last night at Kitch's fell race. Really looking forward to spectating from back here, and fingers crossed for some special performances!

All the Ladies are through to the final, a job well done. Biggest supprise of the day: China who have never had a finalist before (I think) have got all 3 in the final, amazing! Japan also have a lady through. Good for them.

It seems that the area held no demons and all the expected people are much as expected. The men are likely to be very tight indeed.

I'm devastated for Scott. The other 2 were brilliant.
Didn't the organisers get the maps up fast - the courses are not hard but not quite as simple as I expected from the times - the standard is fantastic.
It is quite something managing 6 windows of split times plus the text commentry.

Each heat had seperate reporting - i.e. 2 per heat.

Quality by China getting all three women through - pretty sure they've had finalists before but no specifics to back that up.. I think they're all ex 10,000m / marathon runners.
Good effort by Lupina! Is someone going to upset Wingstedt? Will he be Swiss? ..or CZE/ GBR?
Hausken probably favourite.. but about 8 girls in with a shout. Dana's in form at the right time. Go go go Elise!

Had a look at the maps now, what's the deal with that fence near the end of the courses (no13 on men's heat A within it). It has gates and 1 crossing point marked but it didn't have the thick impassable black line? Do you think they were allowed to jump it - I would have found that confusing. Maybe they got some info on that.
