Radio Interview
On the off chance that anyone is interested, Harley and I are giving a live radio interview about orienteering on BBC Radio West Midlands next monday at approximately 2,20pm on the Les Ross show. Well at least that's the plan but as we are treating ourselves to a good lunch at The Mailbox first - it could turn out like a re-run of Tara Palmer-Tomkinson on the Frank Skinner Show

How did it go Mrs H?
Tried to tune in but I'm afraid we must be out of range of Radio WM here.

Re: Radio Interview
I thought it went really well - but perhaps I'm not the one to be saying that - here is a picture of me and Harley in the studio

but you can listen for yourself on BBC Radio WM on listen again (Iplayer)
i think we covered all the themes we wanted to - competitive sport - running, navigation, great for families counter the cotton wool culture, elites and international, holidays, weekend adventure, forests, moors, parks, urban races, night O, plug for some events (not just HOC) websites.
we had a good lunch and got a tour of the studios (radio and TV) all in all a good day out.
the production assistant asked if we knew other people with interesting hobbies - obviously that's the West Mids done - but other radio areas may also be on the look out.
I think you might be able to listen to it here - it;s quite long

Well done, Mrs H! I wish more club enthusiasts were as proactive as you are in getting publicity.
