Hi all,
I have some past Compass Sport issues I'm planning to get rid of at some point so wondered if anyone wants them... They go from 1999 till just about now (mid-2007 I'll say). If you want them, PM me to arrange somewhere to pass them on (I will mail them if you pay me postage costs).
I also have a few sporadic issues of the Czech equivalent magazine (around 2005 plus/minus a year or so) - if you would like those then let me know too.
Cheers,
Blanka

Re: Compass Sport
Just to clarify, the Czech magazine I am offering is 'Orientacni Beh', not 'Orienteering Today'. It's in Czech!!

Re: Compass Sport
I hope you find a home for them - otherwise NEVER throw them out! I can take them off your hands. PM me if you get stuck.
However, people geting rid of old collections of mags is quite common and if people do have quite large collection, your local library would probably be only too happy to have them - I would bet money they don't have any copies of CompassSport!
Also, if you are the sort of person who reads CompassSport (indeed Orienteering Today or any other O mag for that matter) and then tends to bin the old one when the new one arrives, STOP! Why not take it down and leave it at your dentists/vets/doctors/hairdressers/garage mechanics workshop etc. waiting room. As a way of showcasing our sport to the general public, (they are rarely going to see it happening whilst out and about) so these magazines are all we have (as TV and radio coverage is almost non-existant too). How many times have you been to the places I have listed and all there is to read are car mags and womans mags, maybe a Yachting World or Horse and Hound magazine if you are lucky!
Old magazines should be read periodically too (no pun intended) - you dont learn by forgetting and these old volumes are often filed with interesting gems...

Re: Compass Sport
Has anyone got a real contact for user "paul" - if yes, can you please PM me (or if you are paul please get in touch)?
He PM'ed me to say he'd take the Compass Sports off me but I haven't got any replies since then so thought I'd try email instead.
Cheers,
Blanka
