Problems with access and Network Rail

In trying to build good relationships with Network Rail, don't forget that several orienteers are NR employees, and I'm sure they could help identify appropriate contacts in other regions if necessary. I know of Andy Jones (SLOW), Steve Corrigan (EBOR) and Karen Heppenstall (CLOK), and no doubt there are others.

As for the logic of a £14m fine...

Network Rail is a “not for dividend” company and all our profits go straight back into improving the railway

So that's £14m less being invested in improvements...

Just checked the FC data at roseisle - the FC doesn't own the railway line - only the forest on either side.
But we'll overlook this won't we???????
