Re: british middle champs
Have both these areas been used before? if so, any chance of putting the old maps online, as the jk2008 organisers have done?
(In a perfect world we'd have major events on new areas, and in the rare cases where this happens, e.g Culbin East, then obviously i wouldn't advocate putting the maps up - but if old maps are about then it's fairer if everyone can see them)

Good to see that there will be "prizes / mementoes for the highest placed finishers in each of the other age categories". But why aren't the winners of these age categories official British Middle / Sprint champions?

Any chance of posting it somewhere where all can see it instead, please? As greywolf said, if a map exists then it's better that everyone can see it (though I know there are sometimes issues with copyright, especially where the OS are involved).

which is why JK2008 used Routegadget, as it has a OS licence for the display of the maps

Re: british middle champs
how far is it from the campus to the main Coventry railway station - there is a direct train to sheffield at 4.25 - do you think that's cutting is a bit fine?

Re: british middle champs
Does anyone know what TD the junior courses are for the Middle (i.e. course F for M/W 10/12) ?
I'm guessing that for the Sprint it can really only be TD3 for the junior course, since even the senior courses are probabaly only TD3 too.
I'm just wondering if it could be a family trip or will I have to do extra DIY to be allowed out on my own for the weekend.

Re: british middle champs
20 mins by bus as gg says, 10 mins by bike from the Station to the campus - or get a train to Canley station (on the line from Brum to Cov if you get the slow train) and you can walk it in 15mins
[Mrs H - realise you were asking about getting to the station rather than getting to the race but others might find the other info useful]
As for a map, I'm pretty certain if you dig out the Compass Sport issue that had a feature on UWOC (abotu a year ago) there was an old map sample in that

Re: british middle champs
Thanks Rookie - i'm sure that will be useful for everyone - I've booked young Neville on the 5.30 train - that way we won't have to rush our post-event banter and we can always fill out the time with tea and a bun
