Should be a fantastic weekend, I saw this http://www.busa.org.uk/page.asp?section=0001000100020016&sectionTitle=British+University+Championships the other day and wondered why orienteering wasn't included since it is in Sheffield the same weekend?

because it's a 'showcase' and I'm assume the orienteering isn't in the same location as all those events? Spectator friendly orienteering strikes again!

The British Universities Championships (BUCs) is going to be a fantastic event. The issue over orienteerings inclusion is that BUCs is going to be staying in Sheffield for the forseeable future with the 20 sports listed. The aim is to build some momentum without chopping and changing sports from year to year. The liklehood is that Orienteering would move to a different location next year and so on. i'm sure some of the other orienteering universities might be miffed if it stayed in sheffield for a long period of time, however if they're not then answers in an email...
