Love it -
however we had a German exchange student staying with us a few years ago who applied it liberally to a piece of bread for breakfast under the mistaken belief that it was chocolate spread. After pebbledashing one corner of the kitchen the poor girl was unconsolable until we explained that she hadnt just consumed some toxic cleaning compound and wasnt about to die.

Many years ago I worked with a woman who's son was doing rwesearch into the growth extract in marmite. Supposed to be good for you if you are short of stature

In Ireland the same product is sold under the tradename of GYE.... which stands for Guinness Yeast Extract. It is very popular!! And, obviously, GOOD FOR YOU.
