Thanks to Team Nopesport providing some results that contained age-classes, I've been able to provide the initial league tables for the Nopesport Urban League:
Men
Women
As EUOC did not designate which classes should run which course, all runners on the long course have been ranked ahead of all runners on the short course. This means that all finishers score in their proper age-class. This approach seemed better than either forcing some people to 'run up' a category (e.g. the W40s who ran long, if I'd allocated all W vets to the short course) or nullifying their efforts (e.g. the W40s who ran short, if I'd insisted that Women's Veterans scored only on the long course).
This relaxed approach may not work for the JK Sprint, where the provisional class combinations are (http://www.jk2008.org.uk)
1 M21 M20 M18
2 W21 W20 W18
3 M35 M40 M45
4 M50 M16 M14
5 M55 W35 W16 W14
6 M60 W40 W45
7 M65 M70 W50 W55 W60
8 M75 M80 M12 W65 W70 W75 W80 W12
9 M10 W10
Hmmm...

Re: Edinburgh Big Weekend
Well I was thoroughly knackered after the weekend.
Eventually feeling normal again now.
I had a great time...though feeling stressed at times!
Great photos Nailest. Except the one of me looking quite special in my dancing ways.
Thanks everyone that contributes to the weekend

I want to walk up the side of the mountain, I want to walk down the other side of the mountain. I want to swim in the river, lie in the sun. I want to try being nice to everyone.

Edits to the league tables:
It would also be possible to use min/km for the Edinburgh race. If anyone feels sufficiently strongly about this
(a) to provide some amended rankings;
(b) to persaude Team Nopesport that in this case it's fairer
then I will change the points.
- gender reassigned for Claire Ward, who moves from M Open to W Open
Jason Hubert is M40 and moves from M Open to M Vets
Oxford apparently is not being staged this year

Re: Edinburgh Big Weekend
Thanks to everyone involved, really brilliant weekend. Amazing that I lived in Edinburgh 5 years and never went to all the places I got to on Saturday.
Can't wait till the next street race in November

We would vote for mins/km for the Edinburgh race. Didn't realise / think about the points situation so we entered middle instead of long because of Ceilidh and SOL the next day.
(Need all the points I can get !)

I'd heard there would be an event, with mapper and planner already assigned.
Rumour I'd heard was first Sat in Nov, so as to make a southern weekend with November Classic the next day.
Maybe the events happening but it's not part of the Nope series ?
Perhaps someone from OUOC could enlighten us ?

I can confirm there won't be an Oxford race in 2008, but it will hopefully make a return in November 2009.

Re: Edinburgh Big Weekend
I've succumbed to demand and recalculated the Urban League points for the Men and the Women, so that they are based on min/km. I've used a length ratio that takes account of the voided legs and the tortuosity of the courses, defined especially for this purpose by the controller.

- Jamie Stevenson, who moves into the lead in junior men (perhaps an orange juice will have to suffice)
Julian Hall, up to 5th in Vet Men
Becca Roberts, up to 3rd in Open Women

Thanks for doing that. I hope it wasn't too much work.
