jk - m18 elite ?????????????
on the future champions cups website it says m18's wishing to qualify for the final should run m18 elite where possible, it then goes on to say there will be m18 elite at the jk 2008. is this correct or wrong as there is nothing on the jk website to sugest there is. hope someone will get back to me soon.

From here
Also there are already some entries for M18E
Elite competitors (M/W18-20 and M/W21) will have a Sprint race on Day 1, a Middle race on Day 2 and a Long race on Day 3. Entries for the Elite classes may be restricted; those that are not ranked for UK Cup or Future Champions Cup should expect to be required to provide evidence of their eligibility to compete in the Elite races. The Middle race (which is the same for 18-20E and 21E) and the 21E Long race are both World Ranking Events, and all three individual races are part of the UK Cup and FCC series of events.

This has caused a bit of confusion, and I've already moved a few people from 18L to 18E for days 2 and 3. If you have entered 18L but want to be on 18E instead then send an email via the JK 2008 website and I'll amend your entry.
P.S. Don't forget the first entry date is 31st January, so get your entry in quickly if you're not one of the 1432 people who have already entered.

Simon E, thanks for your help, not to sure which course to run at the moment as im definately not an 'elite' athlete but i am hoping to qualify for the future champions cup. i am 2nd year m18 and am silver standard at the moment with 1 gold standard. i ran at oringen 2007 and completed each day on H18L in ok time. do u suggest m18l or m18elite? hope you can help.

You're probably better asking people who know you what course to run, we don't know your physical fitness as well as they might, but generally if you can compete well on an M18L then physically the step up shouldn't be much of an issue.
Importantly if you are aiming for FCC Finals you should probably be running the elite, I'm guessing there will be more than 15 running that class on the weekend and it'll be a good guage if you're going to qualify for FCC or not.

well it's being run with M20E so the Sat will be the M21E middle race won by them in about 30-35 mins (last year 6.2 km and top M20 was 36 mins)and Sunday will be a long, last year's was 11.4 km won in 70 mins
Go for the elite Marcus if you think you are physically up for it, will be good experience
