Top 3 teams on B all orienteers (Coombs/Tullie, Tullie/Rocke, Mercer/Franklin). Also wins for orienteers on C (Edwards/Spain) and Long Score (Masson/Leitch), many others in top 10 on all courses.

Poor Darrell - 2nd, yet again, on Long Score. What does the poor man have to do to win!! Supersaint 2nd on C, running with a new partner after Mharky dropped out. Now didn't he,SS, run the Elite at the Mourne Marathon and win

Tulle and Tullie also 8th on the B. All in all an impressive family affair.

Brendan Bolland won the Elite with his brother. Don't know if Sean orienteers still, but Brendan does from time to time.

Sorry for the delay in getting it up, but due to poor internet connections at the event I didn't get the results files until today.

Why, oh why, did I buy those 1g titanium pegs which were on sale the evening before the race? They were almost useless (and I know that I should have realised that just from looking at them)! We ended up using a pencil, some wood we found, and a mess tin handle snapped in two to make a couple of sturdy aluminium pegs. Even so, the tent came down on us at 2am, then we spent an hour in the men's urinals (making hot drinks in the not-so-hygienic surroundings ), followed by five hours in the start/finish tent, hunched in space blankets, along with a steadily increasing crowd of similarly affected competitors. So if anyone saw people shuffling about in the morning clad in a space blanket, they were not wimps, but 'survivors'! I have also heard that SuperSaint spent four hours sat in a portaloo to escape his flooded tent. Any other tales of carnage?

(Oh, and the race was enjoyable and well organised - cheers to all involved!)

The OMM got a 'shout out' on Radio 1 at about 7.30 on Sunday morning, the DJ was having a laugh at all the people who's tents had been blown / washed away! This all happened just as I was driving over the hill with the campsite in full view, perfect timing

And it's a shame some of you spent time in the finish tent - it was a midden when we left @ 9/10

(I was doing SportIDENT stuff, so was there but not competing)
