yes, although that only really works for the elite - main point of my posts earlier re: the spread of times was that just because gg or some other superstar would do green courses on areas of greatly varying TD in 30 minutes doesn't mean that the average punter will take the same time on each of these same courses - could be 45 in some open beechwood in the SE, and 60 or even 90 minutes round some really complex and physical terrain in north scotland
it would be nice to get away from the notion that shorter courses are inherently inferior and for the unfit (and anyway i'm sure this contravenes some BOF policy on inclusiveness and positive spin too
