Re: SHIs
Interesting to note that BOF make zero mention of the SHI's on it's webpages & neither does the SOA - not even mentioning the team! Most surprising given the SHI is one of the key performance indicators used by the SOA (or at least it was - maybe SHI isn't important any more - same as GB relay performances don't count anymore).
Go orienteering in Lithuania......... best in the world:)

A little unfair, Gross. See e.g.

Re: SHIs
Not unfair at all....
The page you link to is a general policy page. The SHI is here & now... a news item... It is (or isn't) an important 'domestic' competition that could (but doesn't really) play an important role in the delivery of BOF's 3P policy:)
And some PDF at the bottom end of a website doesn't equate to covering the 'news'!!!

Re: SHIs
Big up to all the Welsh team especially Kath & Rob, quality stuff getting in amongst it, hard work pays off.
Welsh W20s pretty solid too, good effort.
Rrrespect to Laura & Scott (I had a hunch you two would win today - nice one!)
Tessa & Coombsy - business as usual.
Hope it's a great relay tommorrow, sorry I couldn't be there.

I accept your point, but I seem to recall some time ago you quite rightly heavily criticised BOF when they failed to offer news of major events on their web site. I think they have stepped up their game since then admirably, giving news reports on Mondays or when it was eg WOC, day-by-day.
Or are you just lonely and feeling uninformed out there?

Re: SHIs
Got to agree that BOF have improved their coverage but it's still not so great....
1. no advance mention of SHI's (thanks redkite for results link).
2. late mention of World Cup results (didn't appear until Tuesday) - despite BOF having at least 2 fulltime equivilant people working on the senior programme & a marketing person
3. Little or no mention of the JEC... despite BOF having full time people involved in the programme
If BOF want to push the 3 P's principle then they need to push all they can. If the new website is to promote the sport to Joe Blogg punter then it needs to show the competitive side & not just all the boring old stuff about equality, child protection etc etc... that'll never attract anyone to the sport, competition might:).
(and singing the prasies of BOF for day to day coverage of WOC is a non-starter... with modern technology that should be an automatic expectation.... I remember being interviewed on day 2 of the JK 2000 by phone giving news of JS first WC win.... I was in Australia the JK got the info at about 10:00am UK time & the old 'Britsport' news website was updated within hours of the WC result being known..... it's not difficult to do:)
