World Cup Final
Have I got my dates wrong or had a senior moment or something, but I thought it was the World Cup Final in Switzerland this weekend..and no one is talking about it? Is it next month or was it last year...?

Re: World Cup Final
The middle was today indeed.
Simone and thierry won (Allez les bleus)
There was a video stream live in english and german with images of the start, finish and one tv control
But i haven't found where to follow the radio control.

I couldn't find any links to live results or video stream. Any news of British results? Did you follow the link from the BO website?

Re: World Cup Final
The Swiss put on a pretty dismal show for us internet spectators.
The main website is here but there's no sign of any results, and the races finished three hours ago.
The web TV coverage was poor. The two commentators had little idea what was happening, and struggled in the bits they tried to do in English. Even the bits in German seemed to be lacking in any real detail about what was going on. Lots of pictures of runners at the start and of nobody running down the finish run-in. No on-screen timing or results.
I guess we have been spoilt with things like Tio Mila and Jukola, but what was shown today was not really worth bothering with. I'd much prefer some decent real-time radio controls and results plus a live audio feed of a knowledgeable speaker.

Re: World Cup Final
Agree with the poor coverage, most of it showed nothing - people starting, an empty run-in, people coming into and going out of a control. Very little in the way of timings, no idea about the map or course, not even positions/finish times at the end of the race unless they were in contention.
Results are now available, JD top Brit in 16th,
It was intended to have a 45 min winning time - agreed this seems a bit on the long side for a 'middle'
And having the final of the World Cup the same weekend as 25manna - doesn't seem the best of ideas...
