Has anyone successfully taken metal studded O shoes in their hand luggage (to avoid them becoming lost luggage)on flights?
Or are they seen as offensive weapons?

I regularly travel with a dozen or so emit units in hand luggage... along with all the cables & flashing lights:) Never a problem:)

But leukotape these days is strictly banned! That's if you get the really grumpy guy with the moustache at Stansted routing through all your possessions and making up elaborate ways to take over a plane. If you didn't know how to hijack one before there were a few handy hints!

only time I've been stopped was as stansted with a head lamp in my hand luggage for Spring Cup.still got let through though. usually take pair of O shoes (dobs) and O box in hand luggage no problem

I think i'm right in saying Big Jon got hassle from Edinburgh airport security last summer as he tried to get his cheque book through the security point!

we had some pots of muller rice confiscated on the way to the french 5 last week, they were for breakfast and he wouldn't even let us eat them there and then in front of him...if only we'd eaten them 5 meters further back..
