Anyone know if there is a football tounament at the six days this year?
If not anyone fancy organising one? There is a pretty big park in Grantown with posts I think.
I can put a team together.

ASS FC will certainly be making their eagerly awaited return, hoping to overcome the disappointment from the surprise defeat in the final of 2 years ago.
There is going to be one isn't there?
If we have a venue I'll help to organise it if no-one else is.

My understanding is that there isn't anything organised. I can't be arsed to do it every night -in fact I'd rather turn up, play my teams slot and then go to the pub. Mind you there might only be 5 or 6 teams so we could get it all over with on one/two evenings.

Yeh I agree. None of this every night malarky. Lets do it!
Oh and what dyu reckon, quick email to the organisers or something asking what's what? I'm sure they wouldn't mind an unofficial tournament tacked on the side...

Nothing ever did come of that, so the situation is the same. Until someone volunteers to organise it, whether that is formally/informally/every night/not every night, then nothing is happening.
However, facilities at the event centre are available if someone does volunteer...
So, post here if you want to organise the football.

Right, you can remove the question marks from the thread topic and crack open the champagne because the 5-a-side Fitba' is organised.
Details are finalised and there will be an announcement in the news sheet at Day 1 but I thought I'd get it out in the open on here to build up the excitement. Tell all your friends to get teams entered as soon as they get there, entries close at 4pm on Day 1 with the first matches to be played that evening at 6pm. Entry is limited to 16 teams but we need at least 12 to cover the costs (the pitch hire is obscene, not my fault sorry) so make sure you tell all your friends!
Let the banter commence...anyone reckon Nails' team will have a chance?
