Voiding Courses

A control is put in the wrong place for a British Champs, it then gets moved. Some people suffer, some people don't. Not everyone runs the same course.

(a) void the course
(b) leave results unaltered
(c) remove legs either side

I think removing the splits is a suitable alternative in smaller events, but not in the British Champs.

What do you call minor Mark? (I know where Gross draws the limit as I was organiser when he argued long and hard against voiding a Scottish Champs when he had misplaced a control.)

If you don't void, would you take legs out or leave the times as they are?

Nationals and Championships (JIRC, Home Inters, FCC, UKCup, BUSA etc.) = Big, void corses

Badges: Removing splits is an alternative (a more suitable alternative is to put controls in the correct place)

Colour Codeds: Do nothing

Does anybody actually protest / is there a jury at a Local or District event (to use the correct terminology)?

I got DSQ at a colour coded area for warming up along a track which was in the "competition area". Some people take things a little too seriously.
