Actually races on Cascades in Stanthorpe have rarely if ever been won at faster than 8 min/km and thats by the likes of Grant Bluett, Rob Walter and Troy de Haas. Few if any of the juniors at JWOC would be capable of those times. There are different types of Granite terrain and the Cascades is one of the technically and physically toughest. In the regard its great to see Duncan and Doug performing well, if they can put in similarly consistent performances at JWOC they will come away with strong results. They certainly couldn't have had a better test just prior to the races.
Really it means little else than the guys have been getting in some great training and will be as well prepared as they can be for JWOC.
