Wouild you just stop thinking of yourselves. The person you are niggling at got home at 7:00pm had to unload all thhe equipment and was entitled to have a meal and sa shower don't you think. He also has a full time job, and since getting home tonight has been working on the results. In fact you'll find the rankings are up.
Diets and fitness are no good if you can't read the map.

I thought the event was great. Shame I could only do 2 days
The 3 legged score was class! I did it with Vicky Thornton but Im not sure how we did. Not that well I think because as soon as we started, our tape ripped! So then we had to cue up to punch! We thought it was hilarious! Vicky had the plan of crawling under everyone to punch

I left for Rogie at 8.00 on Saturday, finished the last taping at 21.45 and finally got home having sorted and returned controls etc at 22.30. I never got wet or cold.
Have a heart on those that had 3 days plus all the extra events AND dreadful weather - I hope you enjoyed it nearly as much as I did and therefore will be prepared to do it again.

Thanks for the comments about day 1. A few replies:
Oldman: The controls for the radio-O and the regular event were coordinated in the sense that I sent them our all-controls map and they planned around that. I didn't get out to 133 during the event, so I didn't see what was going on there. I'll pass your comment on to the radio-O planner.
I have no idea why our rough open was clearer, but I agree that it was hard to see, particularly on day 3. All the maps were printed by Alan Halliday so I assume the difference was in OCAD.
Ant: Courses were long, partly because Titterstone is so fast, but also because of the constraints of the terrain - it's hard to get that course in, and into the interesting terrain without going around the hill, and I'm sure everyone would rather go around than over it! Sorry if we got that one a bit too long. I'm glad you enjoyed the technical stuff. I went out and watched the 11-15 loop in the afternoon and people seemed to be finding it challenging.
Control 51 was originally described as spur foot, but the controller had us change it to spur because the spur really does continue down the hill, it just flattens out for a bit where the control is, and then fall away again beyond, so it's not really spur foot. It was in the right place - I paced it from the rocks at the top to make sure.
Mike: Glad you enjoyed course 2. That's what I would have run. I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only person who ran through the start on day 2. At least we provided some entertainment for those in the boxes!
Richard.

Day 3
I greatly enjoyed Day 3. I did course 3 (M21S, W21L, JM5L, M45 and 50L) - and it was very well planned. There was a distinct possibility that others did as I did and ran/speed walked through much of the approach to the start on my way from 5 (109) to 6 (82), but I wasn't bothered by it, and we were pre-warned on the final details anyway. I have only just started to use Route Gadget, and I wonder if Day 3 will appear on it - if so, it will be interesting to see where others went.
I also wonder if it would involve lots of hassle to get the results put up by course as well as by class, as it would save lots of cross-referencing in my sad and pathetic split analysing...
Cheers to all involved.

Splits being put up by course as I speak. Your wish is my command. I just have to rub the magic lamp
Now that the files are sorted it is apparently straight forward. Or he'd rather do that than reconcile the money taken. I wonder who'll end up doing that

SINS; lucky with the weather?
If you thought it was wet during the SINS weekend, think again.
This is the bridge between the event centre and the centre of Ludlow:

Was the bridge.
I'm organising an evening event tonight on the Mersey Valley flood plain, South Manchester. Are SI boxes OK underwater?

I am shocked - well hopefully perhaps the school won't be too bothered about the rather brown look of their field after we'd finished - this is only a couple of hundred yards away - we'de have had a very long walk to Tescos.
We've got an event tonight -Worcester Beacon - if we get problems you lot are in real trouble
