Did someone hack into the BOF server?

Sounded like a challenge, but in fact just go to the search function and enter 'lagganlia 2007' and the document appears in the list.

That is interesting since the selections are not being announced until tomorrow and letters will not have been received by those selected or not.

Did someone hack into the BOF server? Is that really appropriate even if they are clever enough to do it?
There is certainly no link from the BOF web pages.

The link I posted was doing the rounds yesterday evening on MSN (or whatever) and thus already in the public domain. How it was originally found is something that should be considered.

Regarding the letters, certainly for the last two years the names were posted on the website before any letters were received. Neither my son or daughter have yet received a congratulations or commiserations letter this year. Are the latter actually sent?

I think notification went out to regional squads after/just before publication on the website, and then via email to the youngsters concerned. Possibly all within quite a tight timeframe. Certainly for Lagganlia the correct route is via the regional squad leadership, and not direct from BOF.... yea?

I've never heard of commiserations letters, apart from after lagganlia when they picked start squad from only those who went. I don't remember any other commiserations letters (and believe me i've been in *that* spot too many times).

So are they up on BOF site properly now (I don't think it made much difference, they were always up on the site before letters arrived anyway)?

Yes they are up now - interestingly they are billed as Start Selections not Start Tour or Tour Selections - rather misleading I would think and followed by a spiel on equity regarding relative numbers of boys and girls which doesn't make much sense - suggesting that either they are doing things right this year having done things wrong last year (quite possible in my opinion given the selections that were not made) or that the distribution of sexes in the junior ranks has changed dramatically in the last 12 months (unlikely in my opinion).

This is not in fact the case and never has been, even with Lagganlia. Oh that it could be so (and in doing so showed trust in us not to break confidentiality etc etc)) . Only once have I ever been contacted prior to selections and that was by one of the selectors when start squad selections were done after Lagganlia.
