Or go to the Women's B simple results and then "next class" at the top of the page
(Incidentally, having learnt that there was a womens C, the results are now in the ukcup db. Not that any of the runners on womens C got any points, mind!)

Ed - if they weren't running the same course as the UK Cup runners should they actually be included?

Yes. In the (admittedly unlikely) situation that all people in the A and B final mispunched/were disqualified/did not run then the first person in the C final would be the British Champion.

Why not? The heats where they do run the same course have ranked them into finals, so the points go from the top to the bottom of final A, then the top to the bottom of final B etc. Seems totally fair in terms of giving points based on where people have come overall in the event.

I thought about this one last year as not all sprint finals were the same course then.
If the scoring was done purely on time, then those finals running different courses couldn't really be included, but since the scoring (and the true championship positions) is based on which final you're in and then your time in that final then there's no problem with comparing between courses: as Simon points out, for the purposes of the event, winning the C final strictly means that your result is last +1 in the B final.

This was my 4th sprint/urban/city type race, and actually they are all very different, cities vary as much as forests I guess, but equally enjoyable. The one constant though is the fast, complex decsion making. This type of orienteering is definitely not mind numbing running round city streets, nor is it purely for boy/girl racers or elites. Even a middle aged trundler like me, whose style is far better suited to a classic Scottish forest, can have a great time.
At the moment I'm trying to decide if I like the shorter 2 heat format better than the longer single race "classic" format, but in the end I reckon I just love them both. All part of this rich tapestry that makes orienteering the beautiful sport that it is.

I agree with the other comments here - a great race, many thanks to all involved. I think the final was the most technical sprint course I've done (not that there have been many), I only spotted some of the good route choices I missed looking at the map very closely afterwards. As johnloguk says, I think choice of shoes was as important as choice of route - and I think I'd have been better off with studs than trainers in a few places.
Out of curiosity, which route from the last control do people think was the quickest - "wet" or "dry"? Looking at the early finishers, it seemed to me that the road was better, but later on when the tide receded I'm not so sure.

The sprint at Scarborough was superb; I especially liked the prologue with all the streets and alleyways. Quite what the normal tourists thought of us all running down Scarborough High Street I don't know! I did have a couple of occasions in the final, when small children were helpfully pointing out my controls.
High points of the superb beach setting were: the fog rolling on and off the beach, the tide rising right upto Ultrasport, Alan Bogle and Ben Stevens taking the beach route from the last control when the waves were still crashing around the bottom of the steps, a cafe next to the finish, numerous juniors racing around in the sand and sea.
Low point: my severely aching legs the next morning!
many thanks to all involved

i thought the whole day was amazing. the race, planning, map, event area, everything was awesome!
as i arrived sooo early i walked the warm up with my dad and we were so impressed at how well everything (literally everything) was mapped.
the middle distance was also really good - thank you to everyone involved over the whole weekend.
