Saturday 19th May
BarrO's first orienteering event on Stickle Pike - a highly technical area close to the LOC National Event on Sunday 20th and on similar terrain. This will help you to familiarise yourself with the beautiful Lake District fells.
Three well-planned courses (planners all between 15-16 years old) will be available of varying lengths(all TD5) and we will also have an easy course for children to enjoy - loads of sweets at the end! The event will use the new EMIT 'fast-punch' timing.
Hope to see you there!

This event should be really good. It is on a very nice area and the terrain is good to run on. Emit fast punch - cool eh

We'll probably be there adding 4 to the numbers. But just to make sure the adults run can you confirm that sweets are on offer for all finishers and not just the sprogs?
I'm following the lead of our youngest at the enjoyable POTOC/DEE today when he said he only does the string course if he gets fed at the end. A mini mars bar will be OK for me

This is the third race of a 3 race series. Event one was Stockbird Head and Black Beck (before the SROC Nat. event), and event 2 is Baysbrown Wood, Langdale on 28th April (day before Harrop Tarn). All races are on top notch terrain, and have prizes most kindly donated by Rock & Run
Event 2 is being run by WAROC

The event is part of the series of races, 'lakesorunner' has got it right. Dont pay any attention to the previous post, Marcus must have got mixed up or something.
DM - sorry the sweets are only for the kids (unless you want to run their course

No I'm just kidding I think your both very capable of planning an event.
And besides...you ain't got anything to live up to as this is your clubs first event so if you go wrong no-one should complain!!

Just to remind people about this event.
Ideal warm-up for the National on very similar terrain. The last short race at Baysbrown was fanatastic - but undersubscribed.
