As some of you may be aware UODC are hosting BUSA 2007. The event is not yet on the national fixtures list, but will be soon. The event will be held on Sat 31st March and Sun 1st April. Details so far are provided on the UDOC website at http://www.dur.ac.uk/orienteering.club/?p=busa/welcome. Entries will be opening sometime soon.
Summary:
The areas we will be using are Arncliffe, North Yorkshire for the individual and the university science site and surrounding woodland for the relay - which is nice and close to the accommodation, so you can roll out of bed into the competition area (almost)!
Accommodation and Saturday night meal and social will be in Van Mildert College - I believe this is where it was held back in the day when Durham last held BUSA.
BUSA is always a good weekend of racing and socialising, so put it in your diaries and start getting your teams together!
The competition is primarily for university teams, but guest runners are welcome. (So if you fancy a saunter round the beautiful city or are considering coming to the uni but would like a better look, this could be your chance!)

Please note it was 8:08 that I posted that - whole hour before the carol singing started. We raised £137:87 for acorns children's hospice.
What are you doing posting, when you are supposed to be finishing your work off so that you can leave early?

I do so enjoy internal family communications via Nopesport - though my favourite still has to be http://www.nopesport.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6728

It's been got at. Was it that enjoyable?
Sorry SI man no it wasn't exciting a private joke I think. Also it is in a 'Select Forum'

It appears that HOC members can't talk within their families, you know teenagers.... It's easier to talk to them via Nope.

Diets and fitness are no good if you can't read the map.

Yes, I had heard there had been a bit of an upset in the past, but the college don't seem to keep very good records, they don't know anything about it! Well, they haven't mentioned it to me, and I certainly don't plan on raising the issue...
