People who were at the Swiss 6 Days in Zermatt this summer may have heard about this, it's a 5 day event with each race starting at midnight (due to the 24hr sunlight in Norway) but I can't seem to find any information about it on the internet.
Anybody know anything about it?

I checked out the organisers homepage, but seemed like they haven't put up any info yet.

Looks and sounds amazing, but aren't "mossies" going to be a huge problem at that time of year, like the Scottish Highlands but worse?

No just different.. They bite harder, but not quite in the same numbers. They are of course totally evil!
The islands are nowhere near as bad as inland. Great area with quality hills as well.

1. I don't remember mosquitos being a problem at all at the MG 2005. It all depends on what assembly areas they use I guess.
2. It's only on day 3 the first start will be at 22.00 all other days 18.00. I don't really understand the fuzz about this. Running in the middle of the night just messes with your sleep cycle and since there is no difference in the light conditions you can just as well race at the normal time of the day.
3. Quality hills = bring arctic gear, ice picks and stuff if you want to climb the highest mountains. There might still be some snow left at sealevel around midsummer.
4. I recommend everyone who can afford the price of norwegian beer and pizza to go.
