Much safer than going outside... They could have been mauled by wild elk or got wet if it rained.

It's something I do quite regularly with my juniors in gym training. It is lots of fun, and we're starting to get seniors joining in rather than going for a cold wet run after their circuit training session.
If you can get the set-up of equipment symmetrical, it is very confusing if you don't keep your map orientated well.
