Yep. Might have something to do with my wanting to support my ex-Uni club, but I will be there...

We've already had a fantastic number of entries for the sprint-o this year
I'm sure quite a few of them must be post-grads!
Any last minute entries must be in by this friday (10th november) see our website for more details... http://www.srcf.ucam.org/~cuoc/Sprinto2005.html
dodgy link, sorry, but it is the 2006 event that comes up!

Nottingahm are bringing 18 people so I'm told, which is certainly a record for us.
I have no idea who half of them are, but we got a bumper recruitment of beginners at Freshers week (must have been the Nopesport DVD running
!)
I'm not sure how many of them can navigate that well, but hopefully some of them can drink well (though probably not as quickly as Nails)
Can anyone stop Nails' run of Alc-O victories?

We currently have 21 entries, with more on the halves... Whether all will finish the course we shall have to see, plenty of non-Shuocers in there though.
I've just finished mapping the area so you have a brand-new map to run on as well!
We shall see who can become the new king (or queen) of ultimate student orienteering, as there is no defence of the crown this year as far as I can see from the entries...

Jolly good - seeing as none of the big boys (ie. Craney, Neil, GG) are comin should be a close race on both accounts. I'm reckoning Spain or Street for Alc-O title, dpending onhow much you chuff with the map
Fair play

'Twas an excellent day of racing. Congratulations most definitely in order for Jonathan Nelson and Chris Williamson who organised and planned.
Oh, and the women's course was won by Helen Gardner (Oxford), followed by Kat Orekhova (Oxford) whilst Ian Webb (yep, also Oxford) worked out what was wrong with his map about ten seconds into the Alc-O and a full five minutes before anybody else noticed...
