Well they always say that there is no such things as bad publicity (just look at Kate Moss - though I suspect that "GB Runner with missing septum wins World Championship" may be going a bit far).
I seem to call a Beeb2 program at least 15 years ago about the Karrimor where someone broke an ankle on day 1 and still completed the course.

It's orienteering....you fall over, you swear, you get up, you carry on.
But shouldn't we keep quiet about this as it could affect all those risk assessments and ambulance requirements that landowners increasingly seem to require these days?
