Ahhh...... another obvious answer - I will go to him weeping and say I have accidentally dropped my engagement ring in the blender and he will buy me a new engagement ring and a new blender - thereby setting me up to repeat my phenomenal performance next year without having to use up my precious diamond juice nicking more diamonds

No, Mrs H., you haven't grasped the Moh's business yet, have you? If you put your wedding ring in the blender, its the blender blades that get blended not your diamond - unless of course Mr H. bought you an engagemt ring that he said contained a diamond, but ...
No, that wouldn't work - cubic zirconium is pretty tough too (8.5 on Moh's scale).

Some bloke called Mr Einstein just e-mailed me saying it just ain't possible, something to do with a theory of relativity... I'm sure we'll all hear about it at some point if he can convince a few people

oh, and how is that blender - how many new ones has Mr H had to buy you so far then

He said its impossible to travel faster than light but if you bend time....
But i don't think that diamond juice does this, not that it matters.

Oh dear me - I thought you kids got an education these days and there's me who'se never had a science lesson and I still know how to produce diamond rings (and blenders) out of thin air
Anyway - everyone knows if you go faster than the speed of light you go back in time - I suppose that means that when they stole the diamonds they had to walk backwards to do it

Oh dear me what am i about to do? V bored in my room sorry.
I don't think you go back in time when you travel the speed of light. Its just that your time is slower than everyone elses. For example 1 day at light speed is 7 days of normal time. So you don't travel back but go forwards at a slower pace, like my running.
Sorry, lesson over.

No No no Mr Pasta
If you travel towards a star faster than the speed of light you will be seeing it as it was several light years ago - that is definitely going back in time - and if you travel back to earth at the same speed - it won't be there
so don't try it unless you want to be lonely - havn't you ever read hitchhikers guide to the galazy

I keep getting pop-ups () of a dubious nature when I flick onto nopesport - how do I stop it - it's not happening on any other website.
It sounds like you might have accidentally downloaded some ad-popup software without realising it. Try running Spybot to see what might be running on your PC that you didn't know about, or change your browser to Mozilla Firefox which automatically blocks pop-ups.
PS. Thanks for the copies of Ad Hoc - a very interesting read

Am I not supposed to have found it interesting then?

I suppose I'm not likely to have appreciated it in quite the same way as your usual readers, because I don't know that many Harlequins members, and my reason for asking to see some copies was that I wanted to get a feel for what goes into what is clearly a successful and popular newsletter. What struck me the most was the wide range of tone, from the formal things like minutes and fixtures to the Private Eye style captioned pictures, which I guess is how it can appeal to a broad spectrum of ages and characters.
Some of the articles were interesting in themselves too - your editorials make some very interesting points (perhaps you could post them here too?) and I would definitely like to have had a go at the devious-sounding elastic map event! And I definitely think there is something to be gained from looking at more general issues from another club's perspective: I wonder how easy it is for good ideas to travel between clubs or whether we just tend to discuss things internally most of the time? (as an example, WAOC started organising SMILE events last year, based on your model as outlined at a development conference a few years ago - perhaps we need more frequent conferences to proliferate club ideas).
In a similar vein, I joined some members of CROC for a training run last night, which is a small club with a young membership that seems to be organised on a relatively informal basis - perhaps this is what our generation are more comfortable with?
