yesterday - lots of kamikaze cycling round the streets of london. an hours run in greenwich park and blackheath with an orienteering blast from the past jeanette kendall. then watching some crazy guy playing blues guitar and a girl who though she was lady sovereign freestyle chav rapping.
today - shooting a portrait in a car wrecking yard in stratford marshes (location for the olympics. the sooner they raze the whole place to the ground and build some stadiums the better). now organising my room. i've just moved to the ghetto aka hackney.
Don't you just love weekends?

The phrase "workforce agreement" doesn't apply in the independent sector (along with several others including "teaching assistants"!).

As Mister T says, another cracking day today. BASOC planner planned a fantastic tough and tricky brown in gorgeous Docharn, which was thoroughly enjoyable, followed by Mambo's exceptional hot chocolate and ridiculous amounts of good food and chat.
Work tomorrow almost looks appealing after such a top weekend.

Will? We've got proper fire now!

Club training in a glorious Loch Vaa yesterday, followed by good banter at a meal out in Aviemore, then some quality O at Docharn (even though I was rubbish at navigating today)
And I don't have to plan anything for tommorrow, or worry about displays (I do my own!) because we have TWO WEEKS off now - woo hoo!

Coming to the end of a surreal weekend, started well with an 8 mile training run yesterday in brilliant sunshine, mid-October, must be global warming
Barely touched tarmac, 2 nature reserves, a country park and some great forest paths, all inside the City boundary. Saw lots of road runners giving themselves arthritic back and knee joints while breathing in exhaust fumes and ignoring all the scenery
100 mile round trip to a great gig in the evening, Mostly Autumn, how appropriate, saw Lincoln Steve there too. Sadly after one mouthful of beer I had stomach cramps and saw rather more of the toilet than I would have planned overnight!
Washed out this morning, but took the kids to Speedwell Cavern in Derbyshire where we were entertained by a mad scouse guide. Still feeling knackered this evening but managed to get a replacement OMM partner so no longer panicking about getting a super-fit stranger through the clearing system! Cheers Riggwelter

Man, I almost wish I was in the UK. Almost. Actually in Ecuador and instead of running this weekend I was climbing mountains. Climbed one at nearly 5200m yesterday (just made it to the summit) but unfortunately woke up feeling slightly ill today so decided against the attempt on Cotopaxi. The Andes are very nice though

The Pentland Skyline.
been saying I shouldn't do it, I'll just end up knackered.
But then it was such a nice day, and I had this yearning to be turning (i.e. an image of being at the far end of the race and turning for home - its a hard place to be but its something you miss if you do it enough times).
Great day on the hills - all 16 of them...

Friday: off work sick (hubby got 'man flu' and happily passed on to me by which time it had become 'bird flu').
Saturday: mooching around the house still sick, whilst watching hubby build our loft. Had some 'o' friends round and was strong enough to drink some 'medicinal' wine.
Sunday: chauffered said friends and hubby to regional event at Rewell. Tramped up to the start to be official photographer. Sniffed and coughed and all had finished before I'd sorted myself out to get back to the finish. Didn't miss much - a mad path dash as far as I can tell!
Monday: still off work (now I'm just being lame and must face it tomorrow).
Hurrah
