seriously though, without the smiley face... that is an absolute joke...
if i had gone to the JHI's as an M14 (well, i say if, i did) and the 'classic' course was won in 13 and a half minutes, and it was only 2.4km (why? why so short?!!) i'd be pretty pissed off...

From FVO web pages:
England took the trophies as overall winners, and as winners of the Individual competition on Saturday.
Scotland took the trophy for being the Relay winners on Sunday.
Wales beat Ireland to take home the Judith Wingham trophy

Only put the smiley face because I'm the one that everybody seems to think is a protagonist of short courses - but there's a time and a place, and this was very definitely neither!
Just looking at the maps on paper, but they look so way out even at a very quick glance, that I would be interested to know what the planner's and controller's thinking each was (just as much a controlling issue, because they don't look the appropriate standard, which is part of their job to ensure). We are talking the best M14s in the UK after all.

Nah! yours is fine Murray - I meant the one on the FVO website which the BOF front page is routed to and so might be construed as somewhat "official" ,opens with
It doesn't actually mention who won until the last paragraph
Strong performances from the Scottish girls in the Junior Home International Orienteering Championships at the weekend led the team to overall victory in the Relay Championships, and a close second place in the overall results.
