For those of you up this early on sunday morning...at this moment AIRE are in the lead thanks to Florence Haines. Can Jack Wood hold off Dave 'Zebra legs' Schorah who is just five minutes behind??

There is a twist in the race for second place. The first yellow in on DEE was disqualified so they have to use the second runner's time. Dave doesn't know yet, he needs to be 17 seconds ahead in a sprint finish to stay ahead! Exciting stuff

this summary by philip watts:
The fifteenth running of the Peter Palmer Junior Relays saw a total of 34 teams lined up for the start.
The first two legs were run in moonlight but dawn brought with it a light mist to add to the atmosphere within Sutton Park
Three teams emerged from the pack. Aire Extraordinaire triumphed to take the Peter Palmer trophy. Dee Tormentors came in second with Od Jets in hot pursuit.
In the Joan George Trophy, OD Jets took the overall lead and came home first, with NOC in second place and MDOC providing the third place. ERYRI triumphed in the Norwich Small Clubs Trophy with SARUM and PFO providing the second and third teams.
Full Results will be available soon. A link from this site (http://www.coboc.org.uk) will be established as soon as it is available.
The COBOC Committee would like to thank all the West Midlands Clubs who gave their support to the running of this event. Particular thanks should be given to Birmingham Outdoor Education who allowed us to use their excellent new premises on the edge of the park.

Just like to say thanks for a fab day/weekend out. Courses were nice and challenging - especially with that mist later! Seemed to be a bit less banter about than usual? Heard there was a problem with the generators for the commentary.

Just got back from the event. Congratulations to the organisers: a super event, and brilliant to see so many teams taking part. 34 teams is wonderful given that it's not that long ago that the event almost folded due to a shortage of entries.

I think Philip is being slightly over-optimistic. The first PPR was in 1993 and, given that at least one was missed out (3? years ago), that makes it no more than the thirteenth. No less great though!

he got confused and thought 2 extra yellow legs were running
and yeah great event overall, few tiny nags.
the lights in the sports hall should all have been turned off, and
Ian didnt end up wearing the white rabbit suit.
But apart from that...
excellent
