I was just about to put up the control descriptions for the Caddihoe Chase on our website. Now I'm not so sure. What to do?
Lets have a poll & be democratic about it, perhaps

On the votes cast so far we seem to be slightly against publishing them - but it isn't definite (roughly 55% against, 45% for at the time of writing).
Maybe if we just publish the Day 2 descriptions? Its a chasing start and the Start lanes will be chaotic enough without having to pick up descriptions as well.
Actually, l'm going to have to publish both days' descriptions, because the event officials want me to and its also mentioned in the Final Details. I've done my best to make sure that most couses will fit into the standard Ultrasport description holder without folding them, but courses 2 , 3 & 4 may need to be folded at the top and bottom. And Course 1 won't fit, whatever I do. If I print them any smaller they become unreadable for those without perfect eyesight.
Nevertheless, keep on voting - its as well to test the waters with these things

perhaps a poll on where to site the controls would be usefull as well ?
its a stupid thing to vote on
the two are not mutually exclusive,
why should people who don't want descriptions on the web prevent those who do from getting them

maybe those voting against don't have a printer
maybe they are really tight and want the organisers to foot the cost of printing.
maybe they represent the buggeration factor because they couldn't give a toss beacause they aren't going to the Cadihoe Chase.

Having just printed off the descriptions reminds me of why I like them in advance.
first thing i did was to compare my course with my daughters (courses 3 and 4) to check for any common legs. I will try and run a bit faster on these legs.
Good old family rivalry
