I didn't think that noticing he had lost some time while running with another guy was being stupid. Looks like he's got it back together now though

Looks like Jon is good for 17th place - shame he dropped a couple of minutes after 14k because it made 7 or 8 places difference. Well done Jamie though for getting back in there.

One of the more interesting results is the guy in 32nd place from Lithuania.... he's deaf & dumb. Now that is something special :)

why is that special :?:

or is this because the flash happens a split second after the beep, so he has to wait longer at each control?
although, light travels faster than sound, so it should balance out....

Got nothing to do with bleeps & flashes :) more to do with people overcoming obstacles & disabilities in thier lives.....

still don't see how being deaf and dumb would hold you back from being an orienteer?

or have i being orienteering incorrectly all these years, and we now navigate by sound and shouting "Help! I am looking for 174 - anybody seen it?!"

**don't get me wrong Gross - coming 32nd in a WOC Classic is a fantastic effort - but so is coming 31st, 30th, 29th, 28th, 27th, 26th, 25th24th, 23rd, 21st,20th......

I'd guess missing 2 of the senses the rest of us have is a great disadvantage... I just think it's a special achievement....
