so that's 3.50pm and 5pm for us.

I see they've allowed an extra guy into the final because his view of a control was impeded by a car and he finished 16th in his heat by 7 seconds. Sounds a very pragmatic and sensible decision.

Ben Dover > Arrived in Aarhus yesterday. Wicked city.

Team carnage (me, joykock and jock) already warmed up down here. Last night was an epic 13hour session...one bar was pay 20 quid then drink as much booze and eat as much food as you can, you'd have loved it Dover, loads of fish and a mc donalds next door. Jorgen MÃ¥rtesson was out knocking back the shandies like only a legend can at 3am in the morning.Night clubs are open till 6am....but main event tonight so anything can happen.

Final starts in a few hours, looking good for us......that 20 quid place is open again tonight, sweet geezer sweet.

In the light of Troy de Haas reinstatement, that makes AQ 17th now, and 46 seconds behind 15th. I wonder how big a car it was - did it take that long to run round it ?

So organiser takes a "fairness" decision for AQ, and having done so, has to do same for Todorov, even though it it now not a few seconds, but 3/4 a minute.

Well that makes OJ exclusion from Long look silly. Fairness? No!

I think you're misunderstanding the situation. Apologies if I am too, but it looks like originally Todorov was 15th, so qualified - an exception was made for AQ due to the car as he was within 7s of qualifying. Later on another athlete got re-instated so pushing both of them down, but they were allowed to qualify as they had already been told they were.

The only bit which bears any comparison is the re-instatement of TdH (why was that?) The point being presumably that the rules specifically prevent them from re-instating Oli, unfortunately (given the facts which have now come out), and presumably don't in these cases.

Five other athletes, among them Australian Troy de Haas, were first reported as mispunched, but Australia protested against the placing of two controls. A review by the jury showed that there were less than 30 meters between two adjacent controls. Therefore the Jury decided that all athletes have all been redressed to there original ranking, but only Troy de Hass qualifies for the final as 8th, 1:02 after qualification winner, Emil Wingstedt from Sweden.

This is a stupid rule, who cares how close 2 controls are, can't these people read three digit numbers???

and what about the people who did read the control no., realised they were at the wrong one and hadto go back to the right control and possibely missed qualification because of it? (not me by the way)
