In my usual (un)organised way I haven't arranged accommodation for the Lakes 5 days, and now after phoning the camp site suggested in the programme, they tell me it is 'over-booked'. Have been scouring the web all afternoon trying to find an alternative camp-site, but most are full, or phone just ringing out.
Does anyone have any suggestions for good camp sites?

Accommodation for Lakes?
Did you know they have removed the word 'Gullible' from the latest edition of the Oxford English Dictionary.

AMBLESIDE FC use their pitch during the Summer. On your way in from the south you will see big signs for a car park before the pitch and put. Turn in there. Keep right along the track past the cemetry to the clubhouse and pitch. I think it is very informal and you can't pre-book so just turn up on the day.
For more gen speak to Pinball at the Sportsman's Inn who will inform you of how to get to pitch on the pitch!
If there's a game on don't put your tent up!
