Orienteering in August Runners World

just spotted this on sleepmonsters:

Bought Aug issue of Runners World yesterday and Helen Jackson is featured as one of Britain's unknown running Champs. Fell running, quadrathlon and orienteering also get a mention.

anyone seen this yet? does the sport come off well?

Yes the interview with Helen was pretty good, nice photo and layout, made orienteering look/sound interesting and worth a try. But as I said in the other thread it is a crying shame that the journos just can't resist slipping in the old "anorak" tag. It's like a reflex, anything that they think isn't on the fashion police's radar has to get a little sarcastic comment. A bit like prog-rock, but maybe I'm on my own with that one!
