Thanks to you and Tony for all this Wendles.
With it now 15 years since their first (and so far only) win, and six consecutive times runners-up, could this finally be the Scots' year? They've obviously got the strength in depth, as there's only one in the top 4 in any of the individual classes. It makes for an exciting day to day, I'll bet.

Scots were 1st and 3rd in girls relay, Yorkshire 2nd. South East won Mens, Wales 2nd East Midlands 3rd. Scots first and second Mens teams were disqualified. This gave the overall win to Yorkshire by 6 points from Scotalnd with North West third.

the loudest snore would surely have been if NW had won after their long string of recent victories

Congratulations (and a big cheer in this household too) to Yorkshire who have now retaken the record number of wins back off NW (8 times now), but mega-commiserations to Scotland - it's a gut-wrenching way to lose, and even then only by the second closest ever margin. That was close!

Still no results anywhere, I know Alan was the organiser but I'm a little surprised none are up. The emit system does not seem to have such a good computer interface as SI when it comes to getting results up. Using PDF's is not slow but it is another stage and doesn't make the results easy to put into other software.

I do wish people would not make unsubstantiated remarks such as this, it has nothing to do with software, you can upload direct from EMIT to the web if you wish. It had to do with waiting until we got back, as the organiser (and controller) I had tasks to complete, incl accommodation to hand back and getting the YHOA minibus started. BAOC have very few members available at any one time as we are so dispursed, so it was a small dedicated band who did today's event with help from SOC.
The results are on both the BAOC and EMIT websites. The main thing is the juniors enjoyed the event, a hard day on Saturday due to the heat, with many caught out by the unexpected technical challenges, followed by some very close relay running today. See you all at the next BAOC event, the Compass Sport Cup final at Greenham Common on 15 Oct or you can go to the other BAOC event on the same day in Edinburgh in conjunction with ESOC.
