surprised not to see any posts yet on the woc selection races.
Who's on form then? and what are peoples predictions?
Has the sprint been yet? and if so any news on results?

Jenny W is on form, and running bloody quick. Hope she does the business. Rachael Elder is probably going to be in too.
Mens team will be Stevenson,JD,GG,Oli,Craney and one of Speakey, Ewan, Monkey, Baker etc.

my predictions look pretty good so far after sprint race....
Helen B (+ Sarah R pre-selected) definatly in team.
GG (+ jammy svensson pre-selected) definatly in team, + forms looks good for Jedi, JD, Speaky, Joycock.
But most impressive was BJ, just over 1min down, looks like he's recovering well. Im sure if he feels he can be in good shape by WOC he'll get his chance in the Sprint. [/quote]

Dids, selectors are going to struggle to select BJ on any recent form from that far back position wise.
Good to see BOF providing the results quickly:)

Yeah BOF did great getting the results out quick, good work
Gross > Gotta remember BJ's not run a race and hardly done any running since his severe ankle injury at JK. I'd say 1min behind would normally be a very jobby result for BJ, but in this case it shows he's getting back in shape. I've not spoken to him for about 10 days so can't be exactly sure where he's at in his training just now,but it does suggest another 5 weeks of training could show a significant improvement.
Remember we have to select a team capable of achieving medals, aside from Jamie, and relay team,BJ is our only other realistic + proven medal hope.

I agree with everything you said Dids. Had a talk about BJ with someone during the week..... but suspect the GBR selection process will work against him.... I'd rather GB went down the road of real democracy.... one man, one vote & the one man is the head coach. Then coach stands or falls by results... worked well for the Finns for many years...
Sven Goran does it in football........ no committee to hide behind:)
Think Craney would have got to Japan eaisily last year if it wasn't for the established selection procedure.

Results up for the Middle distance,
Good effort all round, pretty close again.
Effort from joykok and Speaky considering Jock and I kept them up last night talking jobbie on the phone to them.
Looks like Didsco's predictions are on form.

You can't expect to reach the top without a little climbing!
