BUSA don't have an Adventure Racing Championships.
BUSA need 22 institutions to demonstrate that they have folks interested taking part in such an event before they will even consider sanctioning it - and thereafter there are a number of other conditions which need to be met. If you want more info on this call BUSA on 0207 633 5080 and speak to the Sports Programmes Manager, Mark Brian or check out http://www.busa.org.uk
I don't know of a University in Scotland with an Adventure Racing Club (I know for certain that Edinburgh doesn't have one). I'd be surprised if there were (m)any in the UK.

there's no success like failure, and failure's no success at all

i was thinking about this last year, tho i know there'd be feck all money available for starting up a club at university (in most situations, but AR teams are fantastic sponsorship vehicles (as my dissertation showed
). Just getting together a bunch of folk from various different disciplines and working together in organising regular training and development of the necessary AR skills could work fantastically, and would provide a great pool of athletes that could be picked from depending on the type of race being tackled.

nothing as such at Warwick, but I know UWOC would be interested. As Brooner said, it's more a case of combining clubs, perhaps Orienteering, Mountain Bike, Triathlon, Canoe etc.
This could work well here as we have members of UWOC involved with all the clubs I mentioned.
