There is a Concert on both evenings at Birches Valley Forestry Centre.

UB40 - Sun night.
It was not on for a while due to local objections but tickets went on sale at the begining of this month.
Concert Venue is on the map and about a 3 min drive from the event.

No problem entering on the day,
Id prefer at least an email so I can make sure there are enough maps,
£3 surcharge per day though....

Sounds a good summer event, though hopefully the planner has avoided the braken
Whose going to be there? Its definitely cheaper than the Lakes ACE race, and probably a good event to try MTBO.
If anyone needs accommodation for the weekend I'm sure Stodge can help you out.

Stodgell Towers is fully booked, and the staff are so overworked they are balloting for strike action

Nope, I think you get the bed (it will feel like a tent, though, the scaffolding is still up, the tiles aren't all on the roof yet, but at least the windows are in now!)

The final details' map reference seem to be missing a digit. SK006150 perhaps?
In terms of £/km it's a pretty good price, even with the the late entry surcharge!
For the MTBO folks, here's a lesson I learned after a nasty experience on a hired bike there: The Chase goes through brake pads like you wouldn't believe - if they're already worn, you might want to replace them before you go.
