seriously grassie, i think you're mixing mathematicians up with engineers/computer scientists.

my class is full of sharp, well dressed career-minded clean-cut scholars, none of this smelly long haired hippy student types you seem to think it is.

unless you're talking about the MSc class that is. they smell, as i'm sure m will back me up on.

What is it with long haired maths students and the smell? Most people that havent washed smell a kind of dull curryesque sort of filthy smell, but your sterotypical longhaired maths/computing people smell a sort of sharp vinegary, damp, 'i cant wash my long hair so i wont bother washing at all' sort of smell. I guarantee you will be smelling it somewhere in your brain as you look at the picture below:
