Replace Discussion

Please can we replace the discussion forum with two new ones to be called and Positive and Negative.

All all the happy, constructive, 'I love to go orienteering' posts can go on the positive forum.

All the moaning, whining and winginging posts can go on the Negative forum where they can be ignored.

Anyone posting a moan in positive should be struck off.

I think nopesport has grown beyond the original members who generally all fell into the "love it" bracket to now include a more wider spectrum which is good in one way, but bad in that it might not be what the creators invisaged!

The key is for more people like you to start more orienteering is great threads and we'll all chip in!

The state of british people is that they like complaining!

if you click back to the forum index and scroll down to a forum called "Edinburgh Training Group" you'll find your positive forum. now what are you doing hanging about the negative forum?

I think as someone that moans quite a lot about things like fat people and ugly couples i love coming to discussion. I don't think in 12-13 years of orienteering i have ever really had a genuine complaint but on here i read about people getting rugby tackled at controls, running through peoples gardens to go for a dump, calling someone a noping noper at the control because you stuck your si card in for too long (i prefer the control to beep twice to indicate that you absolutely nailed it), people taking 4 hours to cross a road and then punching the wrong control!

I never see any of this at events, the only complaint i have about orienteering is that still people insist on wearing multi coloured pyjamas and tight black lycras with their guts bulging over the top to run round a forest and wonder why newcomers are scared off.

Yeah and why are SI cards called dibbers? Noone goes around calling a credit card a fugger or nobber but it works in the same way. Its a card with a chip in it made by a company called Sport Ident. "Chip", "SI card" or "Sport Ident Card" all fit this criteria

yeah the forum is an uncontrollable beast and has changed massively from how it was 'back in the day'

small communities are just better than everyone being on the same page. makes me rethink my plans for world domination.

yeah that other word for an SI card is such a horrific middle england, thinks their posh but are actually average income semi homosexual term.
