Nothing compared to some stories i heard from spring cup relay 1st leg 1st control a couple of years back, a complete brawl to get to it!

Indeed, and not quite like the pile of bodies one year in the White Rose when just two punches were provided on the first control of the open race, just as two other classes looped back to it from elsewhere in the forest!

I think what got me was that it was so completely inexcusable (just like the other incidents mentioned here) - he didn't have to barge in, there was at least one other highly visible box available, it was just sheer unwarranted aggression and bad sportsmanship.

Possibly (I'm not sure what the rules are here), but would it have been in the spirit of the competition? It also means that any changes after registration time could be deemed to have not fully registered, and that would cancel out a substantial number of teams. And at the end of the day, what satisfaction is there in taking a trophy when you know a legitimate club team has in reality beaten you in the forest?

Sometimes you have to put in changes on thye morning of the relays to cover injuries that have reared their ugly heads overnight. Most events make this possible for team captains. I certainly had to make changes at BOC when team members weren't able to come at the last minute.

Swiss national squads occupied the first 3 places in the JK Trophy. They were officially disqualified and t

not quite accurate. The Swiss team were representing a closed club 'AROS' and were later dq'd. Thet were not entered as Swiss but as AROS... I know, it was me who entered them:)
