YHA Discount for BOF Members?

I tried to joing the YHA today but they said the above offer had expired and would only give 25% off. I have tried calling BOF just in case the discount code had expired, but havent got a response back yet. Anyone know about this or had the same problem?

I want to book accomodation for the Tamar Triple (on a bank holiday) so need to get it sorted fairly quick!

According to the BOF website

Offer expires 30th June 2006

so you should get some positive response I reckon

I hope its a mistake with the YHA as they claim that the offer expired on 31st March!

I hope you're successful, guest, but the BOF website also says "YHA retain the right to amend or withdraw the offer at any time and without notice." so it's always possible that the YHA has changed its mind.

But since you can stay at a hostel these days without joining the YHA, you should certainly be able to book one before you join (I think you always could) - so why not make your booking while the membership business is being sorted out? It shouldn't matter if you don't get your membership card before your stay - I had that issue on my first stay, and the YHA sorted it out with no problem.

I joined only last Thursday claiming BOF member discount, got a membership number over the phone and made an on-line booking a few minutes later. Worked very well.
