Although the shorter distances didn't change the positions at the front of classes, due to strength of some clubs teams they would finish at the front whatever the distance, it made it more interesting in the middle of the field. A lot more people can ran harder over a shorter distance, and i believe the new distances added to the atmosphere of the event.
I think the relays should stay as they are, at least for a few years to see how they fair (remember this was the first one using the new guidelines - let's see how the JK goes).

must agree with Hocolite. Our Women's short team was 2 W45 plus a W21. One of the W45 wasn't prepared to run the Women's Open distance, so the only other alternative wpuld have been the Ad Hoc and I don't think the W45 Champion would have been too impressed!!
