How about dislexics? I'm interested as we have a lad at work who I believe is dislexic.he has real trouble with spelling and writes slowly. He says when reading the words all tend to blend into each other.
Diets and fitness are no good if you can't read the map.

thats quite amazing. i pretty much read the whole paragraph at normal reading pace apart from one or two words!
Pictures are better than words because sometimes words are big and hard to understand.

The point is that you have learnt to read 'conventionally' (ie could also read it if it was written as you would expect) and therefore,as the research shows, would have no difficulty reading the individual words because you also make sense of them contextually within the paragraph. In the case of dyslexics, what you see in the paragraph above is likely to be something akin to what they 'see' normally and so learning to read in the first place is a huge challenge. As Hocolite's colleague says - letters get jumbled up (and sometimes physically reversed so b becomes d when written).

I am a dyslexic myself, and it took me along time to learn to read at any decent pace and it is still slower than most peoples. I can read the original post without any problems however I am completely lost as to what Nailests post says.

That tends to happen a lot.
But for that particular post, the translation's here.
