I see the results of the BOF Club of the Year competition have been announced. not really surprised to see HOC and OD in there - as they both have high profile development projects on the go used as examples of good practise of the BOF web site. I would have thought OD had the edge with club wins at both Yvette Baker and CompassSport cup - although they are not clubmarked yet. but surprised to see first place goes to CLOK!
It will be interesting to hear what CLOK have been doing i know they had something about a Sports Science award from the local council but I haven't heard of anything else.

I'm not, and am delighted to see them get the recognition. They have hada long running and successful development project going on covering the whole Cleveland area (5 unitary authorities) for the past 8+ years, which has seen hundreds of people covering the whole spectrum of the population participating, a substantial number of permanent courses, Trail-O courses etc developed, (even a Canoe-O POC!), regular schools competitions, training camps and a programme developed to feed into the NE junior squad, amongst a lot else.
One small piece of evidence is their performance in the Yvette Baker this year. It was only a few years ago that they struggled to get a full team to the final, and finished last. This year they were the third largest contingent behind NOC and OD (just).
I'm sure there's plenty more I've missed - I lost touch with the project when I left BOF, but good to see them get the recognition.

Though I'm a CLOK member, I have no idea of the detail of the application. But, given the context:
.... then I can see how the huge amount of development work over the past 7 or 8 years scored highly.
- Strong partnership with the local authorities, and all the acronymed schemes.
- 200+ mapped schools and parks, POCs
- Strong schools competition (400+ at the latest event in Preston Park tomorrow if it is not submerged by then)
- Coaching co-operation with Teesside Uni
- focussed work with disabled
Etc
etc
All respect to Duncan, Pippa and the other Interlanders/internationals etc in the club, but I doubt that sustained competitive success formed a large part of the application nor of the criteria for judging it.
Anyway, if you had £300 winnings to spend, what would you do?
"Once again £15,000 of prize money is on offer to those clubs that make the biggest impact on their communities" ( from http://www.ccpr.org.uk)

NOC won the Yvette Baker not OD.
