The H. family are big spenders when it comes to big event merchandise, but to tell you the truth we are getting pretty well stonked out with hoodies, sweat shirts, polos and T shirts. We're even quite well off for towels thanks to the JK and O-ringen.
I was thinking today as my ears froze off on the top of the Malverns (looking at all those white hills in Wales) That what I needed was a nice little micro-fleece beenie.
Then I went on to think a nice matching micro-fleece zip neck top - for running or casual wear would be good too - and how about some thermals tops like those stylish new helly hansens or even O tops - I've seen Bedders in a fabby one his dad brought back form the World Masters last year that actually matches his zebra cut-offs - how cool it that?
If you were worried about the outlay you could always get some samples done and take orders then you wouldn't get stung like the SW after the British.
Being commercially minded - I would also guess the first event to get it right makes the killing
Well anyway - what does anyone else think? but for sure beenies instead of baseball caps - I could open a shop with the ones I've been given - so i'm not going to buy one from anyone.
PS - my favourite colour is turquoise!

Merchandise
While on this subject, why don't organisers also understand the advantage of making their merchandise available much earlier? eg selling JK07 items at JK 06 and thereafter? People like to wear items that are current, not (sorry Mrs H ) "old hat"!

I've been conned! By the time I got up there at lunchtime it must have all melted - unless your definition of "white hills" is a bit on the top of a few of them (either that or your eyesight is a lot better than mine)

You should do some AR - we get them (real ones at that) all the time - in fact I've got a tub mostly filled with them!

aye, i think at one time or another i've owned three rat race ones, all vanished into the great black hole that seems to eat my smelly kit! however the jukola one is slightly more tasteful than most of the ar ones ive seen!
to the uninitiated a buff is a seamless tube of fabric that you can fashion into a hat/bandana/neckwarmer/boob tube/small tent... see http://www.buff.es for more info.

It's called a washing machine. After it's finished spinning fast, you can empty it and wear all the kit again, because now it is clean.
Maybe...

I've said this for a while...but I reckon for events like JIRCs it would be really cool to do hoodies with names on the back. They do them a lot for athletics events and it just makes them a bit more interesting, with all the names of the entrants on the back. Hoodies have proved popular (especially amongst juniors) at recent events like JK, Scottish - I'm sure people would buy them!

nah, its more complicated than that. I think theres a wormhole between my washing maching and someone elses, through which bits of treasured kit fall. recent victims include 1 smartwool sock, rat race buff, craft beanie and mi si card!

you'll be surprised what can be found in a washing machine filter... especially if that sock has got stuck in there
