local terrain is rather limited to be fair, best area is probably formby dunes(where the meroc long o was). I don't know how much activity there is in MEROC but there is a reasonable amount of events on in DEEside with events every week in the summer and once every month or so in winter [only schools league in winter]. I don't know what you could do about travel though, there are train stations at delemere and formby but other than that ...?

At Liverpool you are close to MDOC, DEE and MEROC.
MDOC run a club minibus to events every weekend and this will be approximatley 25 miles from Liverpool. Go to their website and make further enquiries. This is probably your best bet.

There's a long open grassy hill near the city centre called Everton Brow which is reasonable for training. Or if you fancy something a little easier, there is always the riverside, can run for something like 8 miles without any cars, (there's always a strong wind in one direction though).
